The System of Accreditation of the Republic of Belarus



The aims are:
  • Approval of legal persons competence to carry out works on conformity attestation and (or) products testing in defined scope of accreditation;
  • Assurance of manufacturers (sellers) and consumers confidence to the activity of accredited certification bodies and accredited testing laboratories (centers);
  • Creation of conditions for mutual recognition of activity results of accredited certification bodies and accredited testing laboratories at international level.

The principles are:
  • Voluntariness;
  • Openness and availability of rules and procedures for accreditation;
  • Assurance of equal opportunities for accreditation applicants;
  • Inadmissibility of restrictions in competitiveness in accreditation.

The order of realization of accreditation:

The order of realization of accreditation is specified by the System of Accreditation of the Republic of Belarus.

Accreditation is implemented by the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus.

Positive results of accreditation are certified by the certificate of accreditation issued by the State Committee for standardization of the Republic Byelorussia to the accredited certification bodies and the accredited testing laboratories (centres).


The works on accreditation are carried out by more than 175 highly-qualified accredited experts of Gosstandart, ministries and governmental departments.

At present time in the Republic of Belarus are accredited:

  • 10 authorised accredited bodies of verification and testing laboratories;
  • 3087 testing laboratories;
  • 152 verification laboratories;
  • 45 calibration laboratories. .
