Testing is a procedure in the framework of conformity attestation, if it is provided for by the conformity attestation scheme used for certification or conformity declaring or determined by legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus or by the law of the Eurasian Economic Union. Testing is an independent form of conformity assessment, if it is provided for by the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union or other law of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Testing is performed by an accredited testing laboratory (center) with an appropriate scope  of accreditation when it is provided for by the conformity attestation scheme used for certification or conformity declaring or determined by legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus or by the law of the Eurasian Economic Union.

If testing in the accredited testing laboratory (center) is not mandatory, testing can be performed by both the accredited testing laboratory (center) and another testing laboratory (center) selected by the applicant for testing, unless otherwise provided for by legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus.

If there are several testing laboratories (centers) where testing can be performed, the applicant for testing has a right to apply to any one of them of his own choice.

The accredited testing laboratories (centers) that perform product sample testing within the framework of assessment of conformity to technical requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union or within the framework of conformity attestation with the issuance of conformity certificates of unified form or acceptance of declarations of conformity of unified form shall be included in the Unified register of conformity assessment bodies.
